I am just so amazed and energized by the phenomenal response to our Fairburn Art History Week Challenge!  I received over 90 submissions by this morning on Friday and more come in every minute!  I will show all of them on my Wake up Fairburn Zoom on Monday at 8 AM.  

 

This coming week, May 18 – 22 are going to extend the creative challenge for you and your child.  

Still Life Art History Spirit Week! Recreate Still Life Works of Art with Objects Found at Home. 
Here are Instructions for your child – A Still Life is a work of art depicting mostly inanimate subject matter, typically commonplace objects which are either natural or man-made.

Monday & Tuesday - Look through the virtual museums and find a painting, sculpture or photograph to recreate. 
Wednesday - Gather props, food items, Legos, or items from nature from your house or yard.
Thursday - Set up the photo. Help take the photo. Compare it to the painting, sculpture or photograph.
Friday -  Make adjustments to improve the photo. Send your photo along with an image of the actual painting, Sculpture or photograph to your teacher and Ms. Marton
