Coffee with the Principal is Friday!

Dear Fairburn Families,

 

I hope many of you can come to school this Friday morning to participate in Fairburn’s second Coffee with the Principal scheduled for Friday, December 6that 8:15 AM in the Multi-Purpose Room off the Parent Patio entrance on Rochester.  I will be sharing important school information about the LAUSD Graduation Requirements, things you can do at home to accommodate for your child’s leaning needs, our upcoming Holiday Programs and the Spring Principal Selection Process.  I am excited to share that the new Executive Director of the new Collins & Katz Family YMCA, Aaron Donahue will be on hand to share about the new Y Programs. I hope you can come and meet with him.  

 

Did you already fill out the School Experience Survey? Please send back the white envelope or complete the survey online at  http://achieve.lausd.net/SchoolExperienceSurvey  Please enter your survey code with no spaces or dashes. Your survey code is the 10 numbers printed near the bar code on your printed survey, that was sent home in an envelope. If you do not have your code, enter 0000 followed by your child's 6-digit birth date with no dashes or slashes. For example, if your child was born October 11, 2007, enter 0000101107.  Thanks for your participation.  We are shooting for 100%! 

 

Plan now to attend Fairburn’s Holiday Student Performances, which will be held the last week of school before the Winter break. This year the parents are invited to view our show as follows:  

- Grade 1 and 5 families are invited on Wednesday, December 18 at 8:30 AM.

- Thurs, December 19 from 8:30 – 9:30 AM - Grades TK, K& 4 Parents

- Fri, December 20 from 8:30 – 9:30 AM – Grades 2 & 3 

 

WINTER BOOK FAIR IS HERE!

 Dec. 9th– 12th(7:30 am – 3:30 pm) Holidays Book Fair @Fairburn Ave. ES

We will be having our Holiday Book Fair during the week of Dec. 9th– 12that the Library. The online version of it will run from Dec. 4th– Dec. 17th(you can purchase online, during the book fair week, send them home if purchased after Dec. 12th) this is for a fee. The students will be allowed to purchase books by themselves during specific allotted times:

Kinder and 1stgrade classes are coming with their teachers or parents.  

2ndgrade Tuesday Dec. 10th9:40 am – 10:00 am; 12:25 pm – 12:45 pm

3rdgrade Wed.  Dec. 11th9:40 am – 10:00 am; 12:25 pm – 12:45 pm

4thgrade Thursday Dec. 12th9:40 am – 10:00 am; 12:25 pm – 12:45 pm

5thgrade Monday Dec. 9th9:40 am – 10:00 am; 12:25 pm – 12:45 pm 

 

We have a new payment method of payment during the book fair: E-wallet.
