The LAUSD school year for 2012-2013 start date has been announced and it's going to make your summer quite short next year. Generally, we've been starting right after Labor Day in September but this will be changing in 2012. School will be starting a few weeks earlier on August 14, 2012 and it will end on June 4, 2013. So, be careful when making your summer vacation plans.
