It's Time to Get Ready for the Auction!
Fairburn's 2012 Online Auction runs March 4 - 18

Fairburn families, we need your help! We are asking every family to bring in at least one donation. Class participation prizes* will be awarded — prizes TBA!

Why start asking for donations now?

It's easy to ask while running errands or holiday shopping! Local businesses are happy to support school auctions — many schools are already soliciting donations. Asking early keeps Fairburn at the top of their lists!

Who can you ask?

Any business you frequent: your favorite restaurant, clothing boutique, dry cleaner, car wash, spa, hair or nail salon, your kids' classes, birthday party locations, activities and camps, friends, family, anyone! 

Keep a stack of letters/forms in your car and drop one off with each errand.

*Include children's class info on bottom of form to ensure your child's class receives credit for the donation.

On Friday, December 16, PTA issued Fairburn School Directories to each Fairburn family.  It has come to our attention that one or two of the directories included pages that were not printed on both sides. In the event you received a directory that has this issue, please contact Nadia Mirshokri at nmirshokri@yahoo.com to arrange for a replacement.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

Earn Bonus Points for Fairburn this Holiday Season at Westside Pavilion 

SUPPORT SPARK OF LOVE TO EARN BONUS POINTS!

Donate Toys: bring new, unwrapped toys and sports equipment to Guest Services by December 16 to earn 500 points each.

Valet Park: $1 will be donated for each car parked to Spark of Love, plus your school earns 500 points. Show your valet ticket to Guest Services by December 31 to earn points. 

EARN 500 POINTS AT THESE EVENTS:

Kids Craft on Saturday, December 17 at 11am on Level 1 near Macy's. Kids will make a Hanukkah craft, enjoy facepainting and more. Sign in at the event to earn 500 points per child.

Menorah Lighting on Tuesday, December 20 at 6pm on the Bridge.  Sign in at the event to earn 500 points per person.

SHOP NOW, LOG LATER FOR DOUBLE POINTS. ALL RECEIPTS LOGGED IN JANUARY

Receipts may be dated since September 15, 2011.

REFLECTIONS entries are due on Friday, December 16 by end of school day.

Look for the yellow box in the Office under the PTA/FYA table.  

Remeber - all submissions must be accompanied by a student entry and consent form. You can read about the rules and requirements at  www.ptareflections.org

Yesterday all students were sent home with a card from DonorsChooseLA.org. 

Please save these cards - they are not replaceable! 

The cards are part of a grant from the Wasserman Foundation which will donate $15 per student to the school project of your choice. 

Fairburn teachers are in the process of setting up their projects. 

Using the DonorsChooseLA.org website, you will be able to enter the code on the DonorsChoose card your child brought home and $15 will be granted toward that project. 

If we all save and submit our codes, Fairburn classrooms will get over $6,000!
