Parents volunteer at the beginning of the school year to become Room Parents. There is generally one Head Room Parent (or two Co-heads) and a team of other Room Parents who work directly with the Head. The Room Parents organize class rosters, special class events, holiday parties, teacher gifts, and coordinate with the teacher to provide volunteers and support as needed. In addition, the Head Room Parent communicates with their classroom’s families to keep them apprised of school events and issues and to notify them of volunteer opportunities.
