We have a few spaces left for August!

We have a few spaces left for August!

We are still enrolling resident Kindergarten students. We are also accepting SAS (School for Advanced Studies) permits for grades 3, 4 & 5 for 2018-19 school year.

Please come into the Fairburn office before June 22nd or after July 20th to enroll.

Dear Fairburn Families,

Thank you all for an amazing school year!  It has been such a pleasure working with your talented children and your supportive family this school year at Fairburn Avenue Elementary School!   We are sending off a whole group of fifth graders, many of whom have been here since kindergarten, to a variety of middle schools all over the city.  What a wonderful, talented group of young people they are!  We will miss them, and our deeply felt wishes for their success can’t be put into words.

This year – as every year – we also say goodbye to parents who have truly given their hearts to Fairburn.  At the Volunteer Appreciation breakfast, we were privileged to honor parents who have been active participants in our community for many, many years!  Without them – and all of you – Fairburn would simply not be the school it is today.  We also say goodbye to a few of our Aides who has been so helpful at Fairburn:  Marissa, Tristan and Gigi.  We will also miss our OT – Efrian.  We wish them all well.

On behalf of the staff at Fairburn Avenue Elementary School, I want to thank you for the privilege of working with you and your children.

On my own behalf, I want to thank the staff for the privilege of being on their team.  I am so proud to be a part of the dedication and talent that our teachers and staff bring to Fairburn. I have looked forward to coming to work each and every day!  Each of you have made my decision to return to a school site as a Principal be the best decision of my working life!  I am looking forward to all the fun that next school year will bring.

Your child in grades TK – 4 will be brought home a My Math Interactive Guide for your child to use over the summer, if you like, to brush up on their Math and Reading skills before next school year.

Now it is time for summer.  Have a great one that is filled with relaxation, good health, and good family time.  See you on August 14h!
